Welcome to the Chair of Intelligent Control Systems
Our team aims to advance research and education in the area of systems and control. We design and analyse control systems, and feedback mechanisms, in various domains of engineering and science. Feedback mechanisms endow systems with the ability to sense, make decisions, and react to its environment. They play thus a key role in the creation of autonomous and intelligent systems in future technologies. Special emphasis of our research is on the theory of control and on the design of efficient optimization and decision making algorithms.
The Chair of Intelligent Control Systems (IC), held by Professor Christian Ebenbauer, was established on August 1, 2021. It replaces the former Chair of Theoretical Information Technology, held by Professor Rudolf Mathar.
