This module provides an introduction to the theory and application of nonlinear systems and nonlinear control. The module focuses on the analysis and design of nonlinear control systems.

Main topics covered in the module are

  • Mathematical foundation of nonlinear systems

  • Lyapunov functions and dissipativity

  • Normal forms and exact linearization

  • Lie brackets and controllability

Recommended requirements are basic knowledge about dynamical (linear) systems and control (e.g. System Theory I and II).
